So I have a buyer from Canada who ordered something from me for about $21.
They contacted me the other day saying that upon delivery they were charged
$12 for import fees and they paid it to receive the package.
Now the buyer is telling me that they didn't know about any import fees before
buying the product and since I also didn't mention anything about import fees in the listing
they think it's my fault and wants me to pay them back the $12 they paid to the postal man.
My question is, as…
So here's another issue that happens once in a while (not often).
A customer doesn't get his item in 4 weeks or less and says they want a refund,
but international air mail (economy/standard/regular whatever you call it where you are from)
does take between 2-8 weeks depending on your country and customs. Most of my international
air mail arrives between the 3-6 week time frame which is normal for regular air mail.
Is this another loophole in ebay's system? If there is no full-tracking,…
Got a great question for you. I think I got ebay on this.
So ebay has this awful policy where they state you are not allowed to attempt to make off-site sales.
In other words, if you makes sales on ebay, you can't contact those buyers and tell them you got your
own online store where they can just purchase DIRECTLY from you next time thereby saving money
for the buyer and the seller on ebay fees. Even if you HINT at attempting to doing it, you can get restricted and even banned forever….
Ok, I got a situation where UPS has confirmed the delivery as successfully delivered. It says it was left at the front desk (sounds like it was an office or building) and was RECEIVED by: Talia
A few days later, the buyer contacts me saying they never received the item. They start asking me to send them a proof of signature so they can confirm it. The UPS delivery method isn't a signature one. It does say that it was received by the person "Talia". The buyer actually knows this person…
Honest question that really confuses me based on my observations of how ebay system works.
It seems that buyers can open up a case and claim they did not receive the item and request/demand for a refund.
The only way a seller can be 100% protected from losing an open case is to provide full tracking number that shows the item was SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED. Once it shows that status, it gives you immunity from a "item not received" case, (of course they can open a claim that is "item not as…
